The First General Assembly of the Global South NGO Platform officially opened on May 14, as part of Baku Urban Week.
The event gathers representatives of non-governmental organisations from more than 110 countries across Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific region, Caliber.Az reports per state media.
The assembly will proceed with a series of panel discussions, with several Azerbaijani government officials also taking part in the opening ceremony.
