A testing range for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) will be created in St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, the governor of the city, has stated during his annual address to the Legislative Assembly.

Beglov announced plans to establish two landing sites as part of the city’s broader strategy to develop drone technologies, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

The new infrastructure is expected to support the expansion of the UAV sector in the region and strengthen industrial development related to unmanned systems.
