An Iranian lawmaker has said that the United States and Israel may be planning a broader military operation that could include seizing some of Iran’s southern islands, Iran International reports.
“Evidence and signs show that the United States and Israel are planning a large-scale operation. They probably intend to seize some of our islands in the south and have brought many forces and equipment into the region,” Kamran Ghazanfari, a Tehran lawmaker, was quoted as saying by state media.
