Serdar Kılıç, Türkiye’s special representative for talks with Armenia, has welcomed the lifting of restrictions on bilateral trade, describing it as an important step toward long-term regional stability.
In a statement posted on X, Kılıç said the move was part of the broader Turkish-Armenian normalisation process being carried out under the direction of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Caliber.Az reports.
“As part of the process of normalising Turkish-Armenian relations, which we are implementing on the instructions of our president, another important step has been taken towards establishing long-term peace and stability in the region,” Kılıç wrote.
He added that he hoped the decision would benefit the business communities and peoples of both countries, as well as the wider region.
