Ukraine’s military said it repelled a large-scale Russian drone attack overnight, involving 139 unmanned aerial vehicles targeting multiple regions across the country.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said in a statement that Russia launched strike drones including “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” and “Italmas” models, along with decoy drones of the “Parodia” type, in the night of May 13, Caliber.Az reports.

The Ukrainian Air Force, together with anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups, participated in repelling the aerial assault.

By 08:00 local time, Ukrainian air defences had shot down or neutralized 111 drones over northern, southern, and eastern parts of the country, according to preliminary data.

Authorities said 20 strike drones hit 13 locations, while debris from intercepted UAVs was found at four additional sites.
