Israeli military officials said that in recent weeks the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had eliminated more than 350 militants in southern Lebanon who were deemed a threat to Israeli civilians and IDF troops.

The operations were carried out under the framework of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon, according to the statement.

The IDF also reported that more than 1,100 Hezbollah targets had been struck during the same period. The targets allegedly included structures used for military purposes from which Hezbollah operatives were active, weapons storage facilities, loaded launchers prepared for firing, and other militant infrastructure.

“The IDF will continue to thwart threats directed at Israeli civilians and IDF troops, and is operating in accordance with the directives of the political echelon and the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the military said in a statement.

The developments come amid continued tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border, where exchanges of fire and military activity have intensified in recent months.
