EU countries plan to adopt a new sanctions package against Russia on May 11 over the evacuation of children from areas affected by fighting in Ukraine, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has said.
Upon arriving at the meeting of foreign ministers, she stated that progress was expected through the adoption of sanctions on the issue in question.
The measures include the addition of several individuals to the EU sanctions list, which would involve travel bans to EU countries and the freezing of assets held in European banks.
