An elderly man in Austria, reportedly around 90 years old, is believed to have shot his wife and daughter, with a possible motive linked to an inheritance dispute.


Police said the incident occurred on May 7 in Linz, near the Gasthaus Lüftner venue, where the shooter later took his own life, Caliber.Az reports, citing Austrian media.

A suicide note was also found at the scene.


The area was fully cordoned off, with police establishing an operational command post and carrying out on-site inspections.


Authorities say there is no danger to the public.


The investigation is ongoing, and official conclusions have not yet been released.
