An expanded meeting was held between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, during which the sides held a comprehensive discussion on Azerbaijan–EU relations.
The talks covered political dialogue, legal frameworks, and institutional cooperation, as well as prospects for advancing the bilateral partnership agenda further, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Foreign Ministry.
Special attention was given to energy cooperation, including Azerbaijan’s role as a dependable energy supplier supporting Europe’s energy security, along with cooperation in the field of renewable energy development.
“The meeting also addressed trade and investment, economic diversification, digitalisation, innovation, and industrial cooperation, alongside transport and logistics connectivity, notably the development of the Middle Corridor and regional infrastructure projects,” the ministry added.
In addition, the meeting addressed regional and international security matters, including post-conflict dynamics, reconstruction and rehabilitation processes, humanitarian demining activities, and ongoing normalisation efforts in the South Caucasus, with an emphasis on the importance of lasting peace and stability in the region.
