On 4 May, two missiles struck a US military warship near Iran’s Jask island after it ignored Iranian warnings, according to the Iranian Fars news agency.
The ship was operating in the area of Jask and heading toward the Strait of Hormuz when it came under attack.
The vessel was unable to continue along its route and was forced to turn around and leave the area, the report added.
