Dozens of protesters gathered outside the Jerusalem residence of US Ambassador Mike Huckabee, calling on him to promote what they described as shared values between the United States and Israel.
According to the organisers, cited by The Times of Israel, the demonstration was aimed at encouraging “the United States to withhold support for policies that are designed to consolidate Netanyahu’s personal hold on power at the expense of both Israeli and American stability and security interests, as well as their traditionally shared values.”
The protesters carried banners depicting violent West Bank settlers under the title “Not Judaism, Un-American.”
A second banner showing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu read “he fooled you on Gaza and Iran.”
