The European Union is prepared to gradually ease sanctions on Iran if a comprehensive agreement is reached, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has said.

Speaking at an EU summit, Merz indicated that sanctions relief could be incorporated into a broader diplomatic process aimed at advancing negotiations and supporting a sustainable ceasefire, Caliber.Az reports per Iranian media

“The easing of sanctions can be part of a process,” Merz said, adding that such a step could help move talks forward and contribute to long-term stability.
