An additional consignment of Russian wheat has been dispatched to Armenia in transit through Azerbaijan on April 24.


A train consisting of five wagons departed from the Bilajari station in the suburbs of Baku, Caliber.Az reports per local media.


The total weight of the cargo amounts to 350 tonnes. The train will then pass through the Boyuk-Kasik station into Georgia, from where it will continue on to Armenia.


Previously, more than 24,000 tonnes of Russian wheat, over 1,600 tonnes of fertilisers and 68 tonnes of buckwheat have been sent to Armenia via Azerbaijan.


The most recent shipment of Russian wheat through Azerbaijani territory took place on April 1, when 349 tonnes of cargo were dispatched.

A shipment of wheat is set to be transported to Armenia via Azerbaijan today (April 24).


According to local media, the consignment consists of five rail wagons. The cargo will pass through Azerbaijani territory before reaching its destination in Armenia.
