Pakistan’s navy has announced the successful test of a locally developed anti-ship cruise missile, underscoring its ongoing efforts to enhance maritime security amid heightened regional tensions.
According to the navy, it conducted a live firing of the Taimoor air-launched missile in a successful test, AP reports.
The announcement comes as the Pakistani navy continues operations to escort merchant vessels transiting key maritime routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, a strategically vital chokepoint for global energy shipments.
