The United States Air Force will extend the operational service life of its A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft, commonly known as the “Warthog,” until around 2030.
The decision marks a departure from earlier plans that had called for the aircraft’s earlier retirement from active service, Clash Report notes.
“The US Air Force will extend the A-10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog) into service until around 2030, reversing earlier plans to retire it sooner,” the post reads.
