Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has stated that Israeli soldiers killed not only Palestinian civilians but also their own hostages, in a sharp criticism of the Israel Defence Forces.

Sharing a post on X, he said it was good that Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar quickly had apologised — there had been reason for it, Caliber.Az reports.

“This soldier must be punished, but conclusions must also be drawn about how they are trained. IDF soldiers themselves admit to war crimes,” he noted.

Meanwhile, the situation in Gaza is described as "neither war nor peace": large-scale ground operations have ended, but periodic violence continues.

Since the ceasefire began, Palestinian sources report over 700 deaths in Gaza from violations (airstrikes, gunfire, incursions), with thousands more injured.

The UN and aid groups note ongoing humanitarian challenges, including restricted aid flows and damaged infrastructure.
