Ukraine’s Armed Forces have reported that Russia carried out a large-scale overnight drone attack, launching 142 unmanned aerial vehicles against targets across the country.


According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the attack took place during the night of April 20 and involved various types of strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmass models. Around 100 of them were identified as Shahed-type UAVs.


Preliminary data indicate that, as of 08:00, Ukrainian air defences had shot down or suppressed 113 drones over the northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.


At the same time, the military reported that 28 strike drones hit targets across 18 locations. In addition, debris from intercepted UAVs fell in six separate locations.
