Israeli forces conducted a targeted raid on the home of a militant who was earlier killed after infiltrating the community of Negohot, uncovering weapons and military equipment, according to the Israel Defence Forces.

The operation was carried out by IDF troops in coordination with the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), following the incident in which the assailant was identified and neutralised.

"Earlier today (Saturday), a terrorist who infiltrated the community of Negohot in Judea and Samaria was identified and eliminated in a rapid response," the IDF said in a statement published on Telegram.

According to the military, subsequent operations were launched in the Khirbet Fuqeiqah area, near Negohot, where the attacker had been living.

"Following the incident, IDF soldiers, directed by the ISA, operated in the Khirbet Fuqeiqah area, adjacent to the Negohot community, where the terrorist resided."

During the raid, troops searched the residence and seized an improvised weapon along with additional military equipment.

"The soldiers conducted a targeted raid at the terrorist’s residence and located an improvised weapon and military equipment, which the terrorist had planned to use for executing terrorist activities against IDF troops and Israeli civilians," the statement reads.
