The Russian Ministry of Defence said its air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 25 Ukrainian drones over a seven-hour period on April 17.
In a statement, the ministry said the unmanned aircraft were shot down between 08:00 and 15:00 Moscow time over the regions of Belgorod, Leningrad, and Kursk in western Russia, Caliber.Az reports per the ministry.
It described the drones as aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles but did not provide details on potential damage or casualties on the ground.
