Housing remains a central global challenge, with policymakers focusing on inclusive policies, affordability, and sustainable urban development. More than a billion people worldwide are estimated to live in inadequate housing conditions, as rapid urbanisation, rising costs, and population growth continue to place increasing pressure on cities.

A report by Euronews says that the 13th session of the World Urban Forum has provided a platform for discussions on solutions aimed at promoting inclusive and sustainable development. Authorities have highlighted approaches that link housing policy with infrastructure development, employment opportunities, and broader community planning.

Large-scale housing programs and reconstruction projects are also being implemented to improve access to adequate shelter and support long-term development, with a particular focus on enhancing living conditions and strengthening social stability.
