An early-morning airstrike on a house in Baghdad on March 17 killed four people, according to Le Figaro, citing two security officials.

One source stated that the casualties included “two Iranian advisors” working with pro-Iranian armed groups in Iraq.

The strike followed drone and rocket attacks on the US Embassy in Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone.

On the evening of March 16, a similar attack targeted the diplomatic compound, with a drone crashing into a luxury hotel frequented by foreign diplomats.

The US Embassy itself was struck twice: initially, four rockets were intercepted, followed by a combined drone and rocket attack.
