Saudi Arabia’s air defence systems have successfully destroyed 11 Iranian drones over the past several hours, the kingdom’s Ministry of Defence confirmed.


The unmanned aerial vehicles were targeting facilities in Al‑Kharj Governorate, located in central Saudi Arabia, southeast of Riyadh, SPA reports.


Major General Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence, stated that all 11 drones were neutralized in Al-Kharj Governorate, underscoring the kingdom’s readiness to protect its critical infrastructure from aerial threats.
