India’s Ministry of Shipping announced on March 16 that an Indian-flagged tanker carrying liquefied petroleum gas is expected to arrive at port later the same day with over 40,000 metric tons of fuel on board.

The ministry said a second vessel is scheduled to dock on March 17, Associated Press (AP) reports.

Both ships transited the Strait of Hormuz on March 14. Officials noted that 22 Indian-flagged vessels remain west of the strait.
