BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 1. The US Navy aircraft
carrier Abraham Lincoln was forced to leave its home port after
Iran fired four ballistic missiles, the press service of Iran's
Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) says, Trend reports.
"Following the attack, the American aircraft carrier left its
mission area and headed for the Indian Ocean," the statement
said.
For its part, US Central Command stated that although the
aircraft carrier was fired upon, it was not hit by Iranian
missiles.
