Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the start of a new wave of missile attacks targeting U.S. bases in the Middle East, according to ISNA.
Meanwhile, a fire broke out at a U.S. military installation in Bahrain following what was reported to be an Iranian missile strike, according to Clash Report. Bahraini authorities have confirmed that a missile hit the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet.
Smoke seen rising from Bahrain’s Juffair area, which houses the U.S. Navy base. Juffair, a district in Manama, Bahrain, hosts Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain, the main U.S. Navy base in the Persian Gulf.
It is home to U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) and the U.S. 5th Fleet, serving as a key logistics and operations hub for U.S. and coalition naval missions across the Gulf, Red Sea, and Arabian Sea.
The base supports warships with maintenance, berthing, and supply services and has played a central role in major U.S. military operations in the region.
Furthermore, the Bahrain Ministry of Interior has advised residents of the kingdom not to leave their homes unless necessary and to take shelter in a safe place.
