Israeli media reports that a second wave of Israeli airstrikes on targets in Iran has begun. Dozens of Iranian regime sites have already been hit, including infrastructure near Tehran, according to N12news.


According to security services, the strikes were carried out in coordination with the United States. Iran’s news agency Noor News reports several injuries in central Tehran. The attacks were recorded east of the city, in the Sindh Haydan area. Iranian authorities have confirmed that the country has been subjected to a new wave of attacks.

A representative of the Israel Defence Forces reported that alarms sounded across the country in the last few minutes, and the rear command directive was sent to citizens' mobile phones with a recommendation to stay close to a safe place, the Israeli army press service reported.


The IDF explained that this preemptive warning was intended to inform the population of a possible rocket attack on the country. 


The IDF emphasises that there is currently no need to remain within protected areas.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that Israel had carried out what he described as a preemptive strike against Iran, warning that retaliatory attacks could follow.


According to the Israeli outlet Ynet News, Katz stated: “Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran to eliminate threats to the state.” He added that “as a result, a missile and drone strike against Israel and its civilian population is expected in the near future.”


In response to the anticipated escalation, Katz declared a nationwide state of emergency. Acting under his authority in accordance with the Civil Defence Law, he signed a special order introducing emergency measures across Israel’s home front.
