More than half of Ukrainian military losses on the frontlines are linked to the incompetence of commanders, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said.

Speaking to local broadcaster, Sadovyi said discussions with senior generals suggest the figure could be even higher, with 70–80% of casualties attributed to poor leadership, Caliber.Az reports.

The mayor also cited the “immaturity of military-political leadership” and an outdated system of military education in Ukraine as contributing factors to operational failures.
