German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in Beijing on Wednesday for an official visit.
According to Xinhua, Merz will remain in China until February 26.
This is Merz’s first visit to China since assuming office. During the trip, he is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang to discuss bilateral cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
