A shopping centre in the Russian city of Novosibirsk has collapsed, with two people reported injured, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred at the Yarche shopping centre, in full view of nearby residents, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene, and rescue operations are underway.
Preliminary assessments suggest the roof gave way under the weight of accumulated snow. Novosibirsk’s regional prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation to determine whether safety regulations were breached.
Footage circulating on social media shows parts of the building collapsing as onlookers react in shock.
