BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 21. The amnesty law
in Azerbaijan will come into force on December 22, Trend reports.


On December 19, the Milli Majlis adopted a resolution “On
Declaring an Amnesty on the Occasion of the ‘Year of Constitution
and Sovereignty.’”


The initiative for the amnesty was proposed by President Ilham
Aliyev. The law will apply to a total of 20,000 people and is set
to be implemented over a four-month period.
