ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 19. A new
plant for the purification and bottling of drinking water with an
annual production capacity of 1.25 million dekaliters, operated by
the private company “Gul Zaman”, was inaugurated in the Geoktepe
District of Ahal Province in Turkmenistan, Trend reports via the
country’s Government.
The facility, located within the S.A. Niyazov farming
association, has been successfully completed and now provides
employment for 45 local residents. Equipped with state-of-the-art
technological systems, it stands as a comprehensive engineering and
production infrastructure complex.
The opening ceremony was attended by members of the Mejlis of
Turkmenistan, officials from the Ahal Province and Geoktepe
District administrations, representatives from the Union of
Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, civil society
organizations, and local community members.
In a related development, a water treatment facility featuring a
desalination unit was inaugurated in Turkmenistan’s Balkan region
in November. This facility has a designed capacity of 20,000 cubic
meters of potable water per day. Its construction was carried out
by specialists from the Hossarlyk Business Association,
commissioned by the Capital Construction Department of the Balkan
Regional Administration.
