On December 17, Russian forces carried out three strikes on the city of Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding Zaporizhzhia district, using guided aerial bombs.

The attacks resulted in the destruction of residential buildings, damage to infrastructure facilities and an educational institution, and triggered a fire.

According to the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, two multi-storey apartment buildings in the city of Zaporizhzhia were hit, and there are concerns that people may still be trapped beneath the rubble.

In the Kushuhum community, a woman was injured as a result of the shelling and is currently receiving the necessary medical assistance.

Preliminary information indicates that at least 26 people were injured overall, including one child.

Municipal services have already begun restoration efforts, while specialists from the district administration continue inspecting the affected areas to assess and document the damage caused by the strikes.
