The Turkish National Defence Ministry commemorated the 22nd anniversary of the passing of Azerbaijan’s National Leader, Heydar Aliyev, honouring him “with mercy and respect.”
In a statement shared on X, the ministry highlighted Aliyev’s enduring message of unity, quoting his words, “We are one nation, two states,” Caliber.Az reports.
The ministry emphasised that this legacy will be passed down through generations and reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to remain “one and together with our Azerbaijani Turkish brothers.”
