BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 15. Uzbekistan’s
Tashkent region is exploring new industrial cooperation
opportunities with China’s Tianjin, focusing on chemical and
petrochemical production, renewable energy, technology and
investment.
This was reflected in the statement by the Tashkent regional
administration, following a visit of a delegation from Tashkent
region, led by Governor Zoyir Mirzaev, to the Nangang Chemical
Industrial Zone in Tianjin as part of its ongoing working visit to
China.
The delegation reviewed the industrial zone’s experience in
hosting manufacturing projects, developing engineering and
logistics infrastructure and creating conditions for investors.
Nangang Chemical is one of Tianjin’s major industrial and
manufacturing centers, bringing together projects in chemicals,
petrochemicals, energy and other industrial sectors.
The visit also included talks with representatives of the
Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA)
administration and executives from several major Chinese
companies.
In particular, discussions were held with Tianjin Bohai Chemical
Industry Group Co., Ltd., Sinopec (Tianjin) Petrochemical Company,
Sinopec Catalyst (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. and Tianjin NEWSOLAR Co.,
Ltd.
The talks focused on potential cooperation in the chemical and
petrochemical industries, the development of new production
facilities, the introduction of advanced technologies, renewable
energy and investment projects.
Tashkent region presented its industrial and investment
potential, infrastructure capabilities and the conditions available
to foreign investors.
The delegation also examined Tianjin’s experience in developing
industrial zones and attracting manufacturing projects, with a view
to applying relevant practices in Tashkent region.
The sides outlined potential areas for further cooperation,
including the development of new investment projects and expanded
industrial ties between Tashkent region and Chinese companies.
The visit comes as Tashkent region seeks to strengthen
industrial cooperation with Chinese partners and attract
technology-intensive production to the region.
