The first footage has emerged showing Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko leaving the country overnight for an urgent foreign trip.
Meanwhile, David Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, said the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament) will vote on Kravchenko’s dismissal on September 15.Earlier, law enforcement sources told Ukrainska Pravda that Kravchenko had left Ukraine overnight in an official vehicle.
Kravchenko later confirmed that he was abroad on a business trip, saying he planned to brief international partners on the situation surrounding the country’s anti-corruption agencies and the risks he believes their actions pose to state sovereignty, the rule of law and democratic institutions.
