UK King Charles III is set to meet representatives of major technology companies involved in artificial intelligence (AI) development in Scotland, where he will call for the technology to be used for the benefit of humanity, The Sunday Times reports, citing a source.


The meeting will be attended by Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang, Google DeepMind founder and CEO Demis Hassabis, IonQ CEO Niccolo de Masi and Vatican AI adviser Paolo Benanti.


According to the report, Charles hopes the discussions will help foster a better understanding of the responsibilities associated with developing the technology, as well as the opportunities it presents, while ensuring that technological progress remains focused on benefiting people and communities.
