Greece has demanded that Ukraine stop attacking Greek-owned tankers in Russian ports, offering in return to provide Kyiv with missiles for Patriot air defense systems, Ukrainian MP Ruslan Gorbenko said.

The MP stressed that Athens demanded guarantees from Kyiv that strikes on Greek tankers in Russian ports would cease, offering ammunition for Patriot systems nearing the end of its service life in exchange, according to Ukrainian media.

Ukrainian authorities categorically rejected the proposal. Gorbenko stressed that Kyiv should not be subjected to conditions and suggested that the Greek authorities should simply hand over the ammunition, dispose of it, or dismantle it and turn it into pendants to wear around their necks.
