Tesla, the company owned by Elon Musk, has announced that it will present the next-generation Roadster electric sports car in October.

“New Tesla Roadster Unveil 10.01,” Musk wrote on X.

The Roadster prototype was first unveiled in 2017. The all-wheel-drive sports car, featuring a transparent retractable roof, can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 1.9 seconds. The launch has been postponed repeatedly, with the date of its official premiere also pushed back several times.

According to tech outlet The Information, the presentation is intended to showcase the results of Tesla and SpaceX’s joint work on a cold-gas thruster system designed to increase the car’s speed.
