A Russian citizen has died after a Red Wings passenger flight from Moscow to Nha Trang, Vietnam, made an emergency landing at Samarkand Airport in Uzbekistan.
An employee of the Uzbek airport said the aircraft landed in Samarkand on September 11 morning after a passenger became unwell, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
An ambulance crew was dispatched to the aircraft, but medical personnel were unable to save the passenger.
Red Wings confirmed the incident and expressed condolences to the passenger’s family and loved ones.
