A two-seat private plane that departed from Batumi, Georgia, for Türkiye’s Ordu-Giresun Airport made an emergency landing in the sea off the coast of Pazar district in Rize province, TRT Haber reported.
The landing was reportedly caused by a technical malfunction, according to preliminary information.
After receiving an emergency signal, Turkish Coast Guard crews were dispatched to the scene.
Rescuers evacuated the two people who were on board. As a precaution, they were taken to Kaçkar State Hospital.
