A church in Russia’s Tambov Region has caught fire after a drone attack, regional governor Yevgeny Pervyshov has said.
The dome of the Church of St Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Mashkovo-Surena was damaged in the incident, according to Russian media reports citing Pervyshov.
The fire covered an area of 25 sq m and was later extinguished.
The church was built in 1903 and underwent restoration between 2011 and 2022.
