Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large at Russia’s Foreign Ministry, has claimed that Ukraine operates dozens of secret prisons in areas where, he said, the rule of law does not apply.
Speaking to Russia's state-run RIA Novosti, Miroshnik said the number of such facilities could increase over time, but provided no evidence to support the claim.
“There are certainly dozens of them [prisons] located in a grey area where the rule of law does not apply, and, let’s say, it is by no means certain that people can survive there,” explained Miroshnik.
