At least one person has died, and 11 others are missing after a landslide struck Jian Urban District in southeastern China’s Jiangxi Province.
The landslide destroyed eight houses, while four other homes sustained minor damage, according to local authorities, Caliber.Az reports via Chinese media.
Rescue teams have been deployed to the affected area. Two people have been rescued, while search and recovery operations are continuing for those still missing.
The area had previously been hit by Typhoon Saudel, which brought prolonged torrential rainfall and may have contributed to the landslide.
