Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze held talks with Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Michel Bousquet, who is on an official visit to Georgia, with the sides discussing ways to further deepen bilateral relations.


During the meeting, Kaladze said Georgia is closely following developments in the Middle East and supports efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.


Bousquet reaffirmed Israel’s support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and highlighted opportunities to further expand cooperation between the two countries.


Particular potential for closer ties was identified in areas including tourism and investment.
