Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have said it captured five terrorists who were planning to attack Israeli civilians and security forces in Judea and Samaria.
The military noted that soldiers completed the special counterterrorism operation against the terrorist cell earlier in the day in the Qabatiya area based on intelligence provided by the Israel Security Agency (ISA), Caliber.Az reports.
According to the officials, the suspects had been involved in advancing terrorist attacks and were apprehended less than 10 minutes after soldiers arrived at the location. They were transferred to security forces for further questioning.
During searches of the suspects’ homes, troops found and confiscated an M16 rifle and additional military equipment that had allegedly been concealed by the cell members.
