A ninth-grade student stabbed a classmate with a knife during a lesson at a secondary school in the village of Kushnarenkovo in Russia’s Bashkortostan region, local authorities said.
The injured student was hospitalised and is currently in moderate condition. His life is not believed to be in danger, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Law enforcement agencies are investigating the circumstances of the incident. Ural Kilsenbaev, First Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkortostan, said the preliminary cause was a personal disagreement between the students.
