Five drones entered Moldova’s airspace overnight on August 27 during another wave of Russian air attacks on Ukraine, Moldova’s Defence Ministry said.
According to the ministry, the drones crossed the Moldova-Ukraine border at several locations before either leaving Moldovan airspace or disappearing from radar.
One of the drones was detected in the area around the settlements of Palanca, Crocmaz, Olănești, Purcari and Răscăieți.
Moldovan authorities said the unauthorised incursions occurred against the backdrop of Russian aerial attacks on Ukraine.
