At least 15 people have been injured after an earthquake struck Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar province, according to TOLOnews Plus.
The earthquake occurred at 5:48 am local time, with its epicentre at a depth of 10 kilometres.
The injured were taken to medical facilities from Jalalabad, the provincial capital, as well as Behsud, Kuz Kunar and several other districts.
Afghanistan was last hit by a significant earthquake in June, when a magnitude 6.1 tremor struck south of Jorm district in the country’s north-west.
