Russia’s Defence Ministry has stated that the country’s armed forces struck two vessels in the Black Sea in an effort to curb Ukraine’s ability to transport weapons and military equipment.

The ministry said the army used Geran-4 Seeker unmanned aerial vehicles to carry out the operation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

The military targeted a tanker-type vessel at the port of Yuzhny in Odesa Region and a dry cargo vessel at the Port of Odesa.

“The strikes caused fires on the vessels,” the ministry noted.
