Two people were killed and two others injured in a Ukrainian attack on Russia’s Krasnodar Krai overnight, regional Governor Veniamin Kondratyev said on August 25, ASTRA reports.
“Last night, the enemy once again attacked civilian facilities in the region. The strike hit Seversky District,” Kondratyev said.
According to the governor, drone debris fell on the territory of the Afipskaya railway station, killing two people.
“Unfortunately, two people were killed. I extend my deepest condolences to their families. Two others were injured; I wish them a speedy recovery,” he added.
At least 10 private homes were also damaged in the settlement of Afipsky, Kondratyev said. One of the houses caught fire.
“A fire also broke out at an oil-refining facility. Firefighters and emergency services are currently working at the scene,” the governor said.
The incident reportedly caused damage to a railway station, an oil refinery and residential buildings. The extent of the damage to the refinery has not been disclosed.
The Russian Telegram channel ASTRA published video footage reportedly showing the fire at the oil refinery.
